WHO WE ARE...

PALISADES EMERGENCY RESIDENCE CORPORATION (PERC) is a Hudson County 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers emergency shelter to individuals and families, a soup kitchen and food pantry, a day program, permanent housing for chronically homeless individuals and other community services. PERC is a subsidiary corporation of Garden State Episcopal CDC since 2013.

For over 30 years, PERC has been providing hope and help to our neighbors in need. Our mission at PERC is to defeat the cycle of poverty and to raise awareness that food and shelter are fundamental human rights.  PERC believes that with help there is hope, and that every person deserves dignity, respect, and opportunity.

365 days a year, 24 hours a day, PERC offers shelter to hundreds of women and men who have nowhere else to go.  In a safe and nurturing environment, clients are provided with a bed, locker, showers, clothing, laundry services, dinner and breakfast. Our trained employees provide access and referrals to medical and mental health services, job referrals, guidance, training, substance abuse treatment, and other social services.
