“Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime” (Author unknown).

We are extremely honored to be joining forces with HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development), United Way of Hudson County, Collaborative Support Programs of NJ, and Jersey City Episcopal Community Development Corporation to provide affordable housing to men and women living in poverty.

Working together on our vision to end homelessness in the United States, PERC was awarded two grants to build and rent 34 units of affordable housing in Hudson County.

In November of 2006, we began inaugurating the first apartments.

“I feel like a human being.  I can cook, make coffee for myself, and take a bath when I want,” spoken by Mario (our first "tenant").
