START A FOOD DRIVE
Traditional Food Drive
Set a time period for your drive (most drive periods last one week or more) and advertise in advance of the start date. We can help you with flyers and with getting the word out. (Download flyer)
Whether you are holding a food drive at your school, church, office or club, make sure your collection site is accessible, visible and secure.
Collect only non-perishable items (no glass containers). Some items always needed include cereal, rice, dry or canned beans, baby formula, dry milk or Parmalat, canned meat, pasta, pasta sauce, instant potatoes and canned vegetables.
When the drive has ended, call PERC at 201-348-8150 to set up a delivery time for your collected items.
Virtual (online) Food Drive
This is a great way to start a food drive without the heavy lifting. It takes just a few minutes set up and then all you have to do is spread the word. No collecting required. No delivery to be arranged.
Go to www.YouGiveGoods.com/PERC to sign up, then just follow the instructions. Contact all of your friends by email, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and give them the link to your personal food drive page. Individuals can purchase food online through your webpage, and when the drive is over, the food is delivered right to our door. That’s it!

Choose Palisades Emergency Residence
Corp. as the organization you are raising funds
for, select a name for your campaign, and
follow the simple set-up instructions. Then just
give all of your friends and family the link to your
website. That's it!
